"Late Summer Rain Newport"
I really do like these rainy day scenes. I did two color studies for this Newport street scene. I think I prefer the texture of my hand made sanded paper in the above color study to the other manufactured paper below for this particular painting. I'm still working out the color scheme on this and will probably have to do a couple more before I tackle the larger version. I'll keep you posted!

I live in the Pacific Northwest over on the other coast. As I examined your paintings this morning my eyes glanced out the window near my computer and hey! same scene going on here! Accurate depiction!
Thanks Sarah! Yes, I know there are LOTS of rainscape opportunities in your neck of the woods! Today we have fog instead of rain (which I like as well). Thanks for stopping by.
