12 x 12 on sanded paper
I posted a study of this painting last week and just now finished the (slightly) larger version. I liked the lighting in this scene. It reminded me of many of the Vermeer paintings with that little sliver of window in the left hand side of the painting. I deliberately kept the palette low keyed and limited in color range. I like the effect. My next challenge is to see if I can translate the same qualities into an oil version.
